Marketing workshop held for Fleurieu businesses

- The newly duplicated Main South Road and Victor Harbor Road projects will be fully open soon, and local businesses have been learning how to capitalise on the potential increase in customers.
- Fleurieu business owners had the chance to attend a strategic tourism workshop—presented by the Fleurieu Connections Alliance in partnership with the City of Onkaparinga and delivered by tourism development consultant Alex Brown, of Alex Brown Project Co—in late August.
- Attendees at the McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Coast Visitor Centre heard about current tourism trends, how to reach and attract different types of customers, and insights for creating memorable visitor experiences.
- Main South Road Duplication Stage 1 and the Victor Harbor Road Duplication are anticipated to be complete and fully open to traffic in December 2023.
They will increase road capacity in a rapidly growing area of the state, which is also home to tourism drawcards such as the McLaren Vale wine region.
The road projects will improve connectivity for residents, tourists and freight companies visiting and travelling through the region.
