The rest node provides a place for cyclists and walkers to stop and rest during their journeys and contemplate the Aboriginal—specifically Kaurna—history of the area.
Kaurna artwork highlighting the rich history of fishing by First Nations people has been installed on the Coast to Vines underpass. The underpass travels under Main South Road and is part of the Coast to Vines Rail Trail.

The new Tatachilla Overpass on Main South Road is now open to traffic. Traffic can travel a single lane in each direction over the overpass, which is located at the intersection of Tatachilla and Maslin Beach Roads. The remainder of the new traffic structure, including an east/west signalised intersection underneath, will open in late 2023.
The new four-lane Pedler Creek Bridge on Main South Road opened to traffic in October, replacing the old two-lane bridge. Two lanes on the eastern side of the bridge are now open while works on the western side are completed. The former bridge, built in the 1960s, will now be dismantled. Read article below.
