The urban design elements of the Main South Road duplication project, including bridges and underpasses, have provided a canvas for Kaurna art and storytelling. Read more and watch the videos below.
The Pedler Creek bridge canvas
Pedler Creek bridge is a new four-lane bridge over Pedler Creek in Seaford, south of Adelaide. It was determined that the balustrade on the bridge would showcase Kaurna culture, using perforation and patterns.

Coast to Vines underpass canvas

The Coast to Vines underpass travels under Main South Road and this artwork will be a focal point on the popular walking and cycling pathway.
The artwork on this structure illustrates the techniques used to catch local fish and celebrates the Moana Sands site, a location with strong cultural values for the Kaurna community.
