The $810 million Fleurieu Connections project is jointly funded by the Australian and South Australian governments.

Over the coming weeks, several access changes and temporary road closures will be required to safely facilitate final construction and finishing works.

These activities are an important step in delivering the completed road, improving safety and connectivity for all road users once open. Details of these upcoming changes can be found on the following pages.

From 7pm Monday 17 November 2025, for approximately one week, Main South Road between Port Road and the Aldinga Interchange will be temporarily closed for all remaining construction and asphalt works as well as final line marking. During night works, a detour via Port Road, How Road and Aldinga Beach Road will be in place. Main South Road will reopen at 7am each morning. Please see below a detour map.

During these night works, all Heavy Vehicles will be required to detour via Victor Harbor Road and Aldinga Road. VMS signage will be in place to direct you.
