What's happening
We’ll be undertaking day and night works on Sellicks Beach Road from Monday 21 October 2024 until Monday 23 December 2024. Works will include pavement construction; water main relocation works and new stormwater infrastructure.
How this affects you
During these works Sellicks Beach Road will be closed between Forth Street and Main South Road.
There will be no access to and from Main South Road into Sellicks Beach Road, however local access for residents and businesses on Sellicks Beach Road will be maintained. Traffic controllers will be on site to help manage traffic flow.
Access to Main South Road will be via Justs Road and Norman Road. No works be undertaken on Saturday nights or on Sunday during the day.
Some noise disturbance can be expected, but we’ll try to keep these disturbances to a minimum. We will contact all properties directly impacted prior to works commencing.
A further closure of Sellicks Beach Road will be required to complete intersection works in early 2025, following the holiday period, Tour Down Under and public holidays. All works on this intersection are expected to be complete in February 2025.
Adverse weather may impact our works, but we’ll keep you updated via our website.
From Monday 21 October 2024 until Monday 23 December 2024 access to and from Main South Road into Sellicks Beach Road will be temporarily closed for day and night works. From 23 December, lane restrictions will remain in place. A further closure of Sellicks Beach Road will be required to complete intersection works in early 2025. Advance notice of this closure will be provided prior to works commencing. All works on this intersection are expected to be complete in February 2025.
