Something for everyone at Trucks on Tour
There were attractions for young and old alike when the Fleurieu Connections Alliance parked up at the Trucks on Tour event in Morphett Vale.
Children learned about some of the big, heavy machinery that is routinely seen on civil construction sites. Meanwhile, their parents could view displays and find out more about the road duplication project currently underway from Aldinga to Sellicks Beach.
Youngsters also enjoyed a chance to tap into their creativity while having a sneak peek at the new Kaurna colouring-in book. The new publication provides an insight into Kaurna culture and the First Nations artwork installed on key structures along stage 1 of the Main South Road duplication project.
The day offered visitors a way to learn more about roadworks in their local area while celebrating the wonders of trucks and First Nations culture and art.
Trucks on Tour is a free community event hosted by the City of Onkaparinga. It provides an immersive experience for children and their families, including opportunities to climb into the driver’s seat of heavy vehicles.
