What's happening

Work will be carried out along Main South Road between Aldinga Beach Road and Sellicks Beach Road, before moving traffic back to the Southbound carriageway. Construction of the new Perth Street intersection will also commence.

How this affects you

From 7pm Sunday 26 October, sections of Main South Road between Aldinga Beach Road and Sellicks Beach Road will be closed for night works, before traffic is moved to the southbound carriageway from 7am Monday 27 October 2025.

At the same time, Perth Street at the junction with Main South Road will be temporarily closed 24 hours a day, for approximately 6 weeks to undertake finishing works.

Please see map overleaf for detour and local access information. Access to Renfrew Road will be maintained at all times. Please follow traffic management directions while work is in progress. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

Some noise disturbance may be experienced during this work; we will minimise disturbances as much as possible. Respite periods will be in place throughout the closure period, where possible.

From 7pm Sunday 26 October, sections of Main South Road between Aldinga Beach Road and Sellicks Beach Road will be closed for night works, before traffic is moved to the southbound carriageway from 7am Monday 27 October 2025.During this closure a detour will be in place via Aldinga Road, Plains Road, and Hahn Road to Main South Road and then Norman Road, Justs Road and Sellicks Beach Road.

From 7pm Sunday 26 October, Perth Street, at the junction of Main South Road, will be closed for approximately 6 weeks.During this time, access to Main South Road will be via Justs Road and Norman Road.Sellicks Beach Road will also provide access to Main South Road as an alternative; however, the intersection of Main South Road and Sellicks Beach Road will also be closed intermittently during these works.
