What's happening
We’ll be undertaking asphalt and pavement construction works along Main South Road.
How this affects you
From Sunday 7 September 2025 we’ll be undertaking asphalt and pavement works to the south of the project site. Works will be continuous (24 hours a day), with speed restrictions in place throughout the work area between 7am and 7pm.
Between 7pm and 7am each night, Main South Road will be closed, and a detour will be in place. From Thursday 11 September Main South Road between Sellicks Beach Road and Country Road will be closed for night works. From Sunday 14 September, Main South Road will be closed between Norman Road and Country Road. This will include the junction of Sellicks Beach Road and Perth Street. Please see map below.
Access will be maintained for Heavy Vehicles and emergency services at all times. Some noise disturbance can be expected, but we’ll try to keep these disturbances to a minimum. Please follow traffic management directions while work is in progress

From Sunday 7 September until late October 2025 works will be undertaken along Main South Road at various locations with speed restrictions and closures. During night works and closures, a detour will be in place, using Country Road, Justs Road and Norman Road.
