December 2023 Update
The South Australian Government made an election commitment to build three overtaking lanes between Myponga and Cape Jervis. Additional Commonwealth Government funding had been allocated to fund one overtaking lane, which was later withdrawn following a federal Infrastructure Investment Program Review. The State Government will honour its election commitment to build three new overtaking lanes. A planning study began in early 2023 with specific sites to be confirmed. We will share more information with the community as it’s available.
